Pokemon Guides #1 - Shiny Pokemon Empty Pokemon Guides #1 - Shiny Pokemon

We`ve all played Pokemon at some point in our lives. You can`t argue with that. Weather it was Crystal, Emerald, Platinum or Black. You`ve most likely played it. Now, let`s start talking about our topic - Shinies. Shiny Pokemon are very rare. When catching Pokemon, there is a 1/8192 chance of getting one. But did you know that there is a 1 in 64 chance of getting one while breeding? Shiny Pokemon first came out in around 2000. That`s when Gold, Silver and Crystal came out, and being the first game in color, it is obviously that they are they first games that shiny Pokemon appeared. Now, onto the term "Shiny". The term "Shiny" does not mean that the Pokemon glows. It simply mean that the Pokemon is not it`s normal color/hue. Here is an example:
Shiny Latios: Pokemon Guides #1 - Shiny Pokemon Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQEo1_LkZBfC2b6QbrZRZHujLK7zod-I9PF4kvvj0bE4odgL9S regular Latios: Pokemon Guides #1 - Shiny Pokemon Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ9QCJbKfxawfYgV-uUykfXnMk_ThhskXxX-Xkq0t5d2CrJ3Rashg

See the color difference? Now, onto genes. Did you know that it is more likely for a genderless Pokemon to be Shiny? This is because male Pokemon have higher attack, while female Pokemon have higher defense. So, it is very likely to find the following shiny pokemon ( In the Hoenn Region) Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groundon, Registeel, Regice, Regirock, Ditto, Metang, Jirachi..... Ect... There are about 72 genderless Pokemon in all the games combined, excluding all event pokemon (IE: Mew, Mewthree, Mewfour, Regegigas*)

Well, that`s all for now. Keep updated with my Pokemon threads. If you want another option (besides the poll options) comment your idea below!

*Regigigas was an event Pokemon, until the updated Gold & Silver came out.*
